Over 600 individuals at SNC are 55+. It is an important and very active group that models loving God and loving others! They volunteer in a variety of areas within the church throughout the week, they participate in worship, and they are generous in their financial support of the church, both locally and globally.

Reaching Up
Reaching In
- Both men’s and women’s Bible studies meet regularly.
- Sunday morning Connect Groups – multi-generational, as well as 55+ only groups.
- There is a 55+ retreat each May.
- The Seniors-for-Seniors program connects a 55+ couple with a high school senior for prayer and support.
- 55+ members partner in prayer with school employees.
- Opportunities to hear special speakers & presentations pertinent to the 55+ community.
- Through our relationship with the Council on Aging and area healthcare facilities, information & services for 55+ individuals is made available.
- First Thursday breakfast offers a menu that includes announcements, into to a special guest, breakfast options at an area restaurant and great fellowship!
- Terrific Third Thursday is a monthly gathering offering a time to walk in the gym, a potluck meal and a guest presenter!
- 55+ Christmas Celebration! features a delicious meal and special concert at beautifully decorated Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center
- Flicks for 55+ – great movie with popcorn & snacks!
- Day trips to local & regional points/ events of interest.
- Special Events including a Reds opening day & Super Bowl Party.
Reaching Out
- A men’s service group assists with basic home repair needs.
- The 55+ group assists as needed in the preparation for events hosted by other SNC ministries.
- 55+ assists with the assembly of care packages sent to college students and soldiers at various times throughout the year.
- 55+ assists with the filling of crisis care kits to support Nazarene responses to global crisis events.
